What to Expect at a Taco Festival

The annual taco festival in Phoenix is one of the best-attended festivals in the Valley. Foodies from throughout the Valley come out to eat some delicious tacos, celebrate Mexican culture, and participate in exciting events and enjoy brunch in Phoenix. The Festival sells out every year, so you need to plan your visit for its second installment this year. The following are some great ways to make sure that you get the most out of your visit:

RSVP – If you are attending the event, you need to RSVP so that you will be able to get a wristband for the event. Each attendee receives a wristband upon entering the event. If you are coming to the event but you do not have a wristband, don’t worry. You can still eat, drink and participate as everyone else does. Just tell the staff that you do not have a wristband and you’ll be fine. They will call you when they have enough of the required registrations for the event.

Bring Refreshments – A festival without beverages is a dull affair. So, bring along your favorite refreshments. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to make them at home. Many of the taco caterers have a selection of full-size and packaged drinks. You can find any of your favorites there or choose from tapas, salads, Mexican foods, frozen treats, and more.

Watch the Schedule – You should always check the schedule before heading to an event. This way, you will be able to figure out what time the event starts and end and what time you will have to get there. It’s also a good idea to go to an event early to register. This way, the lines won’t be as long and you will be able to get your wristband on time.

Check Out the Location – The festival is held in different venues in the Valley. The Temptations Music and Arts Festival is held at the Upland Complex in the McNeil Park District. The Del Mar Fairgrounds is another great place to check out the food and fun offerings. The Folsom Park Amphitheatre in Folsom Park is another option for you. Of course, the Valley Music Fest takes place right in the downtown area and is one of the biggest events of the year.

Shop for Caterers – If you are attending the festival with some friends, it may be wise to bring some business cards along with you. These can be printed up by the event organizer and distributed at the event. Handing out business cards is also a good way of getting name recognition as well as a means of promoting your own business.
